One of Brazil’s greatest musical icons is back after a 10-year hiatus. Grammy-nominated, international sensation Djavan is known for injecting Tropicalia with rock, folk, and pop. Already a superstar at home, he gained international attention in the ’80s following a funky collaboration with Stevie Wonder. The former football star from Maceió put his sports career on hold to follow his “radio singer” dreams, and he transformed popular Brazilian music in the process.
